Once I was asked: “Why do you need a run?”. I immediately replied: "It is like meditation in motion." And it is true. When you run, watch your breath, then you feel the free flow of thoughts, images, emotions and ideas. And most importantly - you feel the movement, the full tone of the body. Of course, learning to really enjoy while running will not work out right away, at first there will be painful sensations in the joints associated with addiction, shortness of breath, muscle pain, etc., but you can also get high! Gradually, you will start to get used, the main thing is the desire (goal) and the right training.
The reasons for each may have their own, here are some popular ones:
- Increase of psychological stability and emotional state. Running contributes to improving mood (through the production of endorphins, that is, "hormones of happiness," this has been proven by science); increase discipline; Strengthening volitional qualities; increase self-control, etc. The very fact that you were able to run 10, 15 ... 20 kilometers, constantly increasing the distance or improving your own time, gives a sense of achievement, inner satisfaction and happiness.
- Health. Approaching jogging wisely, tracking your physiological state and sensations, you can significantly improve your health, the body's ability to adapt and improve immunity. Running improves the cardiovascular system, the musculoskeletal system, speeds up the metabolism (as a result, weight stabilizes), as well as other health parameters.
- Improving the physical abilities of the body. This could include increasing endurance, agility, speed, coordination of movement, flexibility, etc. With the right set of training system, you can significantly improve the overall physical condition of the body.
- Communication Joint training and being among like-minded people; participation in various running events can give a boost of energy, inspiration from observing and participating in a convoy of thousands of people running together. For example, the most numerous in the world New York Marathon (distance 42.2 km) in 2018 received about 50 thousand participants from around the world. At the same time, the number of applications submitted was much larger and is growing every year. Practically in all large and medium-sized cities, including Russia, official amateur racing events have been held for a long time, and anyone can take part in them.
